February 6, 2018              

The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held in the township building on February 6, 2018.  Present at the meeting were Chairperson Mark Creamer, Supervisor Jeanne Sullivan and the people on the attached sign-in list.  Mark called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.  The pledge to the flag was recited.  Jeanne read the minutes to the previous meeting.  Mark made a motion to accept the minutes as read.  Jeanne seconded the motion.  The motion passed. The treasurer’s report was read.  Mark made a motion to accept the report as read.  Jeanne seconded the motion.  The motion was passed.

Correspondence:

NEIC sent a Certificate of Occupancy for Thomas and Debra Honeyford for Big Tom’s Auto Sales on Route 29.

The PA Dept. of Environmental Protection sent a copy of a letter to John Miller, Construction Manager for SWN.  The letter concerns the application of a residual waste storage permit.

PSATS sent the Disclosure Statement for 2017 for the Municipal Pension Plan.

New Business:

Advertisement for bids were published in the Independent.

Jeanne and Angelo Grassi went to the Court House about the procedure to become the constable for the township.  When paperwork is completed and returned, the court will be petitioned to appoint Angelo constable until the election is held.

Mark explained that the township’s website has been hacked and therefore is not up and running at this time.

Fire contracts have been signed for United and Snake Creek.  Jeanne will send the contract to Columbia Hose #1 for signatures.
