October 1, 2019
The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held on October 1, 2019 in the township building. Present at the meeting were Chairperson Mark Creamer and Supervisors Phil DePue and Jeanne Sullivan and the people on the attached sign-in list. Mark called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. The pledge to the flag was recited. Jeanne read the minutes from the last meeting. Mark made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Phil seconded the motion. The motion was passed. Jeanne read the treasurer’s report. Mark made a motion to accept the report as read. Phil seconded the motion. The report was passed.
Correspondence:
Susquehanna County Planning Commission sent notification about the Blachek Major Subdivision.
SWN sent notification about Permits to Drill in both Mitchell 7H and 8H in New Milford Township and Four Bucks 10, 11, and 12 H in Great Bend Township.
The Susquehanna county Library sent a letter to raise awareness about its services.
PA DOT sent a notification about the estimated 2020 Liquid Fuels allocation for the township of $100,585.76.
NEIC sent a Certificate of Occupancy for Edward Kincer.
New Business:
Phil read a letter from the State Auditor General about Columbia Hose audit findings.
FEMA has requested that the 4 homes that are part of the FEMA buyout need to be appraised before a settlement can be made. Jim Brozena from Brozena Consulting Services has been contacted and will conduct the appraisals for $475 per property. Phil made a motion to have the appraisals done for a total of $1900. Jeanne seconded the motion. The motion passed with 3 yes votes.
The township still has not received any money from FEMA.
The roads are in pretty good shape for winter.
Mark made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Phil seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 7:58 PM.
