The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held on September 4, 2018 in the township building.  Present at the meeting were Chairperson Mark Creamer, Supervisors Phil Depue and Jeanne Sullivan and the people on the attached sign-in list.  The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.  The pledge to the flag was recited.  Jeanne read the minutes to the previous meeting.  Mark made a motion to accept the minutes as read.  Phil seconded the motion.  The motion was passed.  Jeanne read the treasurer’s report.  Mark made a motion to accept the report as read.  Phil seconded the motion.  The motion passed.

Correspondence:

Dept. of Auditor General Municipal Pension Plan sent a notice that our Total Distress Score is 1.

PSATS Trustees Insurance and Retirement sent a statement that the municipal obligation is $8,995 for the year.

Robert Fearnley, Susquehanna County Conservation District, sent a letter that he is retiring,

Susquehanna County Board of Assessment Revision sent the supervisor’s a copy of Robert and Patricia Aiken’s hearing notice.  They are appealing their assessment.

Three property assessment change notices for school tax were received due to the recent flood.  The residences names are Janet and Darroll Hall, Roland and Linda Conklin and Karen Rafferty.

Roadmaster Report:

Phil spoke about the damage from the recent flood. We are all thankful that no one was seriously injured and there were no fatalities but there was tremendous road and property damage. Phil thanked everyone for their help.  These included Forest Lake Township, Silver Lake Township, Eric Diamond and Adam Wilber who donated and delivered the stone for the headwalls, Roy and Dave for their hard work and the many hours they have already put in, Jeanne, Mark and Shelly and the township residence.

Shelly Depue, our Emergency Management Coordinator, gave an update about damages and future meetings with government agencies and site visits. 

Mark made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Phil seconded the motion.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:36.
