The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held on May 1, 2018 in the township building.  Present at the meeting were Chairperson Mark Creamer, Supervisors Phil Depue and Jeanne Sullivan and the people on the attached sign-in list.  The meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM.  The pledge to the flag was recited.  Jeanne read the minutes to the previous meeting.  Mark made a motion to accept the minutes as read.  Phil seconded the motion and the motion was passed.  Jeanne read the treasurer’s report.  Mark made a motion to accept the report as read.  Phil seconded the motion and the motion passed.

Correspondence:

The USDA Rural Development sent an announcement of grant funding for eligible applicants for projects that address the growing opioid crisis.

Cabot Oil and Gas sent the proposed Abbott D 3, 7 and 9 Gas Wells Permit Modification to extend laterals in Bridgewater Township.

Summit Financial Corporation sent the Retirement Portfolio for January 1st to March 31st.  Total account value is $137,409.88.

Susquehanna County Dept. of Planning and Development sent a letter about the Kernan Minor Land Development. Also the PA Department of Environmental Protection sent notification about and additional residence on the Kernan property. The proposal was submitted to revise the official sewage facilities land for new land development.

The Office of Susquehanna County Board of Assessment Revision sent notification of Montrose Hillbillies II LP Preferential Assessment (Clean and Green) Rollback.

New Business:

The Depues will research purchasing a cell phone booster for the township building.  At present there is little to no cell phone reception in the building. 

Jeff Sammon reported that the audit is complete.  The auditors handed in their report and suggestion for the supervisors to consider. 

The roadmaster reported that the township is fortunate to have both Roy and David as employees.  They do a great job.

Mark made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Phil seconded the motion.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:28 PM.
