The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held on August 4 2020 in the township building.  Present at the meeting were Chairperson Lee Burch and Supervisors Phil DePue and Mark Creamer and the people on the attached sign-in list. Lee called the meeting to order at 7:03PM.  The pledge to the flag was recited. Copies of the Minutes and Treasurer Report were available to everyone present.  Lee made a motion to accept the minutes.  Mark seconded the motion.  The motion was passed.  Lee made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report.  Lee made a motion to accept the report as read.  Mark seconded the motion.  The report was passed.

Correspondence:

Summit Financial sent the account balance for the Pension Plan.  As of June 30th, the balance is $143,695.70.

Susquehanna County Treasury and Tax Claim sent notification of the upset bid price for properties within the Township.

SWN sent notice of Modification and Renew Permit for a well in Great Bend Township.

JHA Companies sent notification of the DEP decision that there would be a conflict of interest if JHA were to perform duties of Sewage Enforcement Officer and the company was also retained to perform work on the same project.  If this situation occurs, Duane Wood has agreed to work as an alternate SEO.

PLIGIT sent information for the Supervisors to review.  Mark took the packet to review.

PSECU (Credit Union) sent information that Franklin Township employees can become members.

Roadmaster:  

Roy was thankful that the storm didn’t do any damage in the township.  Three road projects may be completed as soon as materials come in.

Old Business:

Lee asked about Roy’s retirement plan.  Vicki Long sent an e-mail that the attorneys are working on this but is does take time.  She will keep Jeanne informed.

At the end of the meeting, Lee asked that Jeanne add to the minutes Section 2302, Duties of the Roadmasters, to the minutes.  See attachment.

Lee made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Mark seconded the motion.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:13.
