June 2, 2020

The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held on June 2, 2020 in the township building.  Present at the meeting were Chairperson Lee Burch and Supervisors Phil DePue and Mark Creamer and the people on the attached sign-in list. Lee called the meeting to order at 7:00PM.  The pledge to the flag was recited.  Copies of the minutes and treasurer report were available for everyone to read.  Lee made a motion to accept the minutes. Mark seconded the motion.  The motion was passed.  Lee made a motion to accept the report.  Mark seconded the motion.  The report was passed.

Correspondence:

The Susquehanna County Conservation District sent an invitation to attend their Annual Awards Banquet being held on October 15th at the Montrose Bible Conference.

Rettew sent an Act 14 Notice on the Knapik pad.

Grant Township sent a letter about their fight against a hazardous and radioactive frack waste injection well.

Roadmaster:

Roy and Phil are maintaining the roads and keeping the cinder shed filled.

New Business:

Phil wanted to thank Lee for his assistance with the roads. 

Phil also said that he would like to hire Roger’s son, who is 17, to work for the township.  He would be operating the roller.  No decision was made.

Phil also suggested that his son, Jordan, be compensated for the work he has done assisting with FEMA computer work.  He will be asked to submit a bill.

Phil gave a report on roadwork and FEMA paperwork.

Lee made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Mark seconded the motion.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:34.
