The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held on May 5, 2020 in the township building.  Present at the meeting were Chairperson Lee Burch and Supervisors Phil DePue and Mark Creamer, Secretary/Treasurer Jeanne Sullivan and the people on the attached sign-in list. Lee called the meeting to order at 7:00PM.  The pledge to the flag was recited.  The Minutes and Treasure Report were distributed for all attendees to read. Phil made a motion to accept the minutes.  Mark seconded the motion.  The motion was passed.  Phil made a motion to accept the treasurer report.  Lee seconded the motion.  The report was passed.

Correspondence:

Salt Springs sent a copy of their Messenger newsletter.

SWN sent notification of Permits to Drill in three other townships. 

New Business:

Phil made a motion to allow Roy, Phil or Lee to schedule crushing with Insinger on an as needed basis.   After much discussion, it was decided that a motion wasn’t needed.

Lee announced that John Harding had agreed to be the Township’s Vacancy Officer.

Kim Henry and Paula Grassi agreed to be Auditors.  The Township needs one more person.

Rich Neiderberger, Tax Collector, reported that tax collections are going well.

Dempsey contacted Phil about the availability of masks, gloves and sanitizer for purchase.

The township will have a dumpster available for residents.

Old Business:

Phil asked about the pension plan for Roy.  Mark explained that the application is 26 pages long and in order to complete it correctly we will contact the pension plan for assistance.

Roadmaster:

SWN. Has been cleaning ditches.  It has been difficult to work on the roads since the roller is not functioning correctly and the weather has been uncooperative.  The roller is going into CAT for repairs. They will loan us a roller while our roller is in for repair.

Lee made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Mark seconded the motion.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:310.
