The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held on March 5, 2019 in the township building. Present at the meeting were Chairperson Mark Creamer, Supervisors Phil Depue and the people on the attached sign-in list. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM. The pledge to the flag was recited. Phil read the minutes to the previous meeting. Mark made a motion to accept the minutes. Phil seconded the motion. The motion was passed. Phil read the treasurer report. Mark made a motion to accept the report as read. Phil seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Correspondence:
The Susquehanna County Board of Assessment sent notice the certified assessment values for 2019 are as follows:
Real Estate $16,667,239, Occupation Value $69,900, # of Occupation taxable 212, # of Per Capita taxable 274.
PA DOT sent notice of payment for March 2019 for Liquid Fuels of $105,456.69 and Turnback of $36,720.00.
Susquehanna County Recycling Center sent a letter of intent to update the 2011 County Municipal Waste Management Plan to continue to be in compliance.
New Business:
Mark made a motion to pass ordinance 2019-1 to raise the Supervisors pay. Phil seconded the motion. The motion passed.
The bids were opened and sorted. Bids were received from R.S. Services, G.L. Parrish, Vestal Asphalt, Suit-Kote, Mirabito, G’s Excavating, Karp Excavating, Brown Farms, Lopke, Bradco, and Insinger Quarries. Bids were awarded to Insinger, G’s Excavating, Suit-Kote, Mirabito, Lopke, Karp Excavating and Brown Farms.
Roadmaster:
Roy gave a report on the condition of the township roads.
Mark made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Phil seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
