Flooding from Tropical Storm Lee and damage from Hurricane Irene devastated communities in much of northeastern Pennsylvania and left countless families and businesses facing unbelievable destruction. Assistance is also available through Disaster Recovery Centers set up by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Six centers are opening across central and eastern Pennsylvania, including one in Wyoming County.

Opening Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and
starting on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

 Individuals may also register for assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov or begin the process by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). The process of registering for assistance is quick and easy.
