SB 237 (Tartaglione, R-Philadelphia) (PN 722):

Would amend Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) in budget and finance, to stipulate that when prosecution under any other provision of Title 75 (Vehicles) is the result of State Police action, but occurs in a municipality that has a population of not more than 3,000 or that provides at least 40 hours per week of local police services, that municipality could receive certain revenue.  Revenue that would not paid to municipalities under this clause would be transferred to the State Police for cadet classes.  When prosecution under any other provision of Title 75 is the result of State Police action on an Interstate highway all fines, forfeited recognizances, and other forfeitures imposed, lost, or forfeited would be payable to the Commonwealth, for credit to the Motor License Fund. (Prior Printer Number: 216)

Last action: Discussed in a budget hearing on the State Police before the House Appropriations Committee (3/22/11)
