October 2, 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held on October 2, 2018 in the township building.\u00a0 Present at the meeting were Chairperson Mark Creamer, Supervisors Jeanne Sullivan and Phil Depue and the people on the attached sign-in list.\u00a0 The meeting was called to order at 6:5 PM.\u00a0 The pledge to the flag was recited.\u00a0 Jeanne read the minutes to the previous meeting.\u00a0 Mark made a motion to accept the minutes as read.\u00a0 Phil seconded the motion.\u00a0 The motion passed.\u00a0 Jeanne read the treasurer\u2019s report.\u00a0 Mark mad a motion to accept the report as read.\u00a0 Phil seconded the motion.\u00a0 The motion passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Correspondence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PA DOT sent a notice of Estimated Allocation Municipal Liquid Fuels and Turnback.\u00a0 The estimated amount is $102,701.34 for Liquid Fuels and $36,720.00 for Turnback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PSATS Unemployment Compensation Group Trust send a letter stating that the township\u2019s contribution rate for 2019 is .80 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Susquehanna County Assessment Office sent property assessment change notice (exoneration for school tax) for Lynn and Barbara Powell, Scott Henry, Christen Zahora and Edward Kincer, Amy and Allen Coy, John Winans and Christine Jaffe, and John Sershen.\u00a0 The exonerations were to the August flood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Business:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil said the township had the opportunity to purchase a dump truck from Silver Lake Township for $10,000.\u00a0 After a discussion a motion was made by Mark to purchase the truck.\u00a0 The motion was seconded and passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil and the supervisors also discussed the rental of a skid steer for $3,100 per month. This piece of equipment will assist with flood repairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Old Business:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great number of gas company trucks are traveling the township roads.\u00a0 Therefore, many roads need attention.\u00a0 SWN has a road maintenance agreement with the township.\u00a0 SWN will be contacted about the needed roadwork. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark made a motion to adjourn the meeting.\u00a0 Phil seconded the motion.\u00a0 The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
