Earlier today, Gov. Tom Wolf signed a proclamation of disaster emergency, a necessary step in order to ask for a federal disaster declaration through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) if damages meet the federal threshold criteria.<\/p>\n

IN SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY:
\nA Disaster Recovery Center is set to open on Monday, Aug. 20, at 9 a.m. at 81 Public Ave., Montrose, rear entrance. The center will be open through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Agencies available to help include:
\n— DEP, emergency permits, well water test kits
\n— Trehab, transportation, food bank, workforce investment
\n— Susquehanna County Housing Authority
\n— Area Agency on Aging
\n— PEMA
\n— Department of Labor
\n— Scranton Counseling Center
\n— Red Cross
\n— Susquehanna County Assistance Office
\n— Veterans Affairs
