June 2017<\/p>\n

The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held on June 6, 2017 in the township building.\u00a0 Present at the meeting were Chairperson Dan Depue, Supervisor Mark Creamer, the Secretary\/Treasurer and the people on the attached sign-in list.\u00a0 Dan called the meeting to order at 7:08 PM.\u00a0 The pledge to the flag was recited.\u00a0 Jeanne read the minutes from the last meeting.\u00a0 Dan made a motion to accept the minutes as read.\u00a0 Mark seconded the motion.\u00a0 The motion was passed.\u00a0 Jeanne read the treasurer\u2019s report.\u00a0 Dan made a motion to accept the report as read.\u00a0 Mark seconded the motion.\u00a0 The report was passed.<\/p>\n

Correspondence:<\/p>\n

SWN notified the township of a Division Order for Webster 4H and another for Webster 5H.\u00a0 They will be signed and mailed back.<\/p>\n

PSATS sent the PSATS adopted Resolutions.<\/p>\n

The township\u2019s share of the PA State Police Fines and Penalties is $933.04.<\/p>\n

Notification was sent from the PA DEP for a General Permit for Bluestone Mining for David Eddleston.<\/p>\n

Susquehanna County Housing\/Redevelopment Authority is preparing for the application for the Community Development Block Grant Entitlement funds.\u00a0 Forms must be submitted by July 28th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Erin Jenner from Ventresca sent an e-mail that the UC reports are up to date.<\/p>\n

COG sent a letter that the extension dates have expired so we can pick up the remaining records and permits at their office before June 30th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Notification was sent from Susquehanna Co. Dept. of Planning and Development of the approval of the Montrose Hillbillies subdivision.\u00a0 Also the PA DEP sent notification.<\/p>\n

EMA sent a letter that there will be a meeting on June 6th<\/sup> for the Municipal Emergency Management Coordinators.\u00a0 Dan reminded everyone that a new EMA will be needed at the end of the year since Betty Jean will be retiring from the position.<\/p>\n

The PA DEP sent notice that a Surface Mining Permit for Donald Button had been corrected to add blasting approval.<\/p>\n

SWN sent notification of Permit to Drill for Bolles SE, Bolles NW 2H and Sadecki 2H.<\/p>\n

New Business:<\/p>\n

Dan explained that we have received phone bids for an extension on the back building for storage.<\/p>\n

The township will be purchasing one or two fire proof filing cabinets for long term record storage.<\/p>\n

Road Work:<\/p>\n

South West gave us a check for $175,000 for roadwork.<\/p>\n

Dan has not heard anything about the Dirt and Gravel Grant that was submitted.<\/p>\n

Dan made the motion to adjourn the meeting.\u00a0 Mark seconded the motion. \u00a0The meeting was adjourned at 7:35<\/p>\n
