The Franklin Township Regular Monthly Meeting was held in the Township Municipal Building on Tuesday, May 3rd<\/sup> at 7:00 P.M.\u00a0 \u00a0The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Mark Creamer.\u00a0 Present at the meeting were Supervisors Mark Creamer, Dan Depue, Arthur Starks and the Secretary\/Treasurer.\u00a0 Also present at the meeting were the people on the attached sign-in sheet.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting was started with the pledge to the flag.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Minutes from the April meeting were read.\u00a0 Mark made the motion to accept the Minutes.\u00a0 Dan seconded the motion.\u00a0 The motion passed with 3 yes votes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Treasurer\u2019s Report was read.\u00a0 Mark made the motion to accept the Treasurer\u2019s Report.\u00a0 Dan seconded the motion.\u00a0 The motion passed with 3 yes votes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Correspondence:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Supervisors received the applications forms for the Dirt and Gravel Grants from the Susquehanna County Conservation District.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Two Unemployment Compensation benefit notices were received for Terry Rosevear for February and March.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Erie Insurance sent a notice that the PA Construction Workplace Misclassification Act has changed the rules for work performed in the Township by independent contractors.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Old Business:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We sent in the Act 205 Questionnaire and Report Form for the Pension Program.\u00a0 We should be receiving a check from them to offset the cost of our pension plan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Township Audit was completed last month.\u00a0 Mark thanked the auditors for their work.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dan Depue, Roadmaster, gave a report on the Township roads.\u00a0 Cinders will be delivered from Dickson City.\u00a0 Roy and David have been working on Pratt and Quarry Road.\u00a0 There will be a meeting with Williams about Forks Hill Road and Valley View Road.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dan attended an NTC meeting on April 21st<\/sup>.\u00a0 There are no dues for NTC members.\u00a0 They talked about Multi-municipal Grants and the Susquehanna County Noise Agreement for compressor stations. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The NTC needs a letter stating the transfer of the leaf sucker equipment and that the Township will have no responsibility for the maintenance of the equipment.\u00a0 The letter needs to be sent to Silver Lake Township.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The next NCT meeting will be on July 21st<\/sup> in Liberty Township.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dan reminded residents of Primary Election Day.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
