April 7, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Franklin\nTownship Regular Monthly Meeting was held on April 7, 2020 in the township\nbuilding.  Present at the meeting were Chairperson\nLee Burch and Supervisors Phil DePue and Mark Creamer and the people on the\nattached sign-in list. Lee called the meeting to order at 7:00PM.  The pledge to the flag was recited.  Wanting to save time during the due to the\nCoronavirus, copies of the minutes and treasurer report were available for the\nSupervisors and the people attending the meeting. Lee made a motion to accept\nthe minutes.  Mark seconded the motion.  The motion was passed. Lee made a motion to\naccept the report as read.  Mark seconded\nthe motion.  The report was passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Correspondence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a notice about the Sunshine\nAct (Right to Know).  It is proof of six\ncertification hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montrose Minute Men sent a letter asking\nfor a donation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Old Business:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two bids were tabled at the previous\nmeeting.  One for the Calcium bid.  Phil made a motion to accept both bids.  Lee seconded the motion.  The motion carried with 3 yes votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second bid that was tabled was for\ncrushing.  Phil made a motion to accept\nthe bid from Insinger.  Mark seconded the\nmotion.  The motion carried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil told the audience about the close\nout meeting with FEMA.  FEMA obligated\nall of the township\u2019s projects.  This\nmeans they have sent all of the money to PEMA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roadmaster:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on the weather, Roy reported\nthey would be putting pipes in and possibly starting a new road project.  He also mentioned that there is a need to\ninstall a retaining wall.  Phil made a\nmotion to construct the wall.  Mark\nseconded the motion.  The motion carried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Business:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lee announced that due to Covid 19 Rich\nNeiderberger, our township tax collector, will not be collecting taxes at the\ntownship building.  Please mail taxes to\nthe address on your tax bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a discussion about renting a\nloader to move materials.  Phil made a\nmotion to rent a loader.  Mark seconded\nthe motion.  The motion carried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark asked about sending postcards out\nto the township residents.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lee made a motion to send a donation of\n$500 to United Fire Company for a food donation.  Mark seconded the motion.  The motion passed with 3 yes votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lee made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Mark seconded the motion.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:32 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
