September 3,\n2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Franklin\nTownship Regular Monthly Meeting was held on September 3, 2019 in the township\nbuilding.  Present at the meeting were Supervisors\nPhil DePue and Jeanne Sullivan and the people on the attached sign-in\nlist.  Phil called the meeting to order\nat 7:00 PM.  The pledge to the flag was\nrecited.  Jeanne read the minutes from\nthe last meeting.  Phil made a motion to\naccept the minutes as read. Jeanne seconded the motion.  The motion was passed.  Jeanne read the treasurer\u2019s report.  Before the report was read Jeanne mentioned\nthe report encompassed both the months of July and August since the August\nmeeting was  canceled.  Phil made a motion to accept the report as\nread.  Jeanne seconded the motion.  The report was passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Correspondence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma Pugh\nfrom PennDOT Connects sent information about the PennDOT Connects initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabot Oil\nand Gas sent notification of a Proposed Modification of Drilling Permit for Gas\nWells:  Greenwood Wells in Bridgewater\nTownship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Susquehanna\nCounty Planning Commission sent notice of Blachek Major Subdivision.  There were no objections.  Phil signed the paperwork and Joe Kemp took\nthe original document with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nSusquehanna County Planning Commission also sent notice of a minor subdivision\nplan for Abe Haberle.  There were\nquestions about the sewer system on the property being shared by two dwellings so\nJohn Watts, our sewer inspector, will be contacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New\nBusiness:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil\nannounced the resignation of Roy Johnson as of October 1, 2019.  Roy has been an excellent employee and he\nwill truly be missed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil gave a\nreport on the roads that have been completed from flood damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil also\nreported about problems the supervisors have had with FEMA.  Hundreds of hours of paperwork and road work\nhave been done to FEMA specification but the township has not received any\nreimbursement to date.  Our Federal\nSenator, Congressman, PA State Representative Jonathan Fritz and Greg Showers\nfrom PEMA have been contacted.  We have\nasked them for their assistance. Phil read an e-mail from Greg Showers to FEMA\nstating that if they had any further questions for the township they were to\ncontact him.  Shelly Depue also read a\nletter that Phil composed. The letter has not been sent yet at the request of\nGreg Showers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil announced\nthat the $350,000 loan that the supervisors passed last meeting would not be\nneeded at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil made a motion to adjourn the\nmeeting.  Jeanne seconded the\nmotion.  The meeting was adjourned 8:03\nPM .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
