The Franklin\nTownship Regular Monthly Meeting was held on July 2, 2019 in the township\nbuilding. Present at the meeting were Chairperson\nMark Creamer and Supervisors Phil DePue and Jeanne Sullivan and the people on\nthe attached sign-in list. Mark called\nthe meeting to order at 7:05 PM. The\npledge to the flag was recited. Jeanne\nread the minutes from the last meeting. \nMark made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Phil seconded the\nmotion. The motion was passed. Jeanne read the treasurer\u2019s report. Mark made a motion to accept the report as\nread. Phil seconded the motion. The report was passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWN sent a notification for Permit to Drill at Innes in New\nMilford Township<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An article by Kelly Burke from the Transcript about the\ntownship was discussed. The title of the\narticle was \u201cContaminated Soil in Franklin Twp.\u201d. There were several errors in the\narticle. Ms. Burke was at the June\nmeeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Business:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Phil reported that Cat C. had been\nfiled with FEMA. This work included\nAugust and September of 2018. The site\ninspection was completed. Fahs sent a\nbid for FEMA work for 7.5 million and Insinger bid was 9.8 million. Both were given to FEMA. We are now waiting for FEMA to complete Cost\nand Scope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Phil also\nreported that Lopke would not have materials for about 6 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nsupervisors discussed the possibility of securing a loan for $350,000. This\nmight be necessary until some FEMA and PEMA reimbursement money is made\navailable to the township. Mark made a\nmotion to secure a loan for $350,000. \nPhil seconded the motion. The\nmotion passed with 3 votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mark made a motion to adjourn the\nmeeting. Phil seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 8:03.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
